Shaw Architecture is an architectural design studio, located in Santa Fe, New Mexico since 1997. We consult on a variety of projects, bringing the same passion and principles to each. And we work every day to make the process of creation as rewarding as the finished product itself.
Our design philosophy is based on a respect for context and the amazing dance of light, shadow, and time. Much of our work has explored the essence of New Mexico vernacular, and it’s been our good fortune to discover an elemental clarity along the way. Wherever the project, we always visit issues of place, presence, and the movement of life.
In these exciting times, ‘sustainability’ is the standard. Recent projects have incorporated solar heating and upgraded thermal envelope design.
Our work has received award recognition from the Santa Fe American Institute of Architects and the Santa Fe Area Homebuilders Association.
